Peter Tilse

Hello, I’m Peter and this is my place. Music is in my DNA, passed down from my mother’s side. The idea of creating a dedicated music venue in Alpha, my hometown in Central West Queensland, has become a reality, a blessing I am truly grateful for. Not many musicians have the good fortune to own and operate, their own venue. 

I am passionate about Alpha and the Central West, and it’s my goal to collaborate with other musicians and artists, both local and from afar, to enrich and elevate the music scene here. I want to share my love for music with you, and invite you to join me in this journey of discovery and enjoyment. Whether you are a performer or a listener, you are welcome to this place, where music is the language we speak.

This establishment is dedicated to that goal and to the last of the great old time dance bands, "Just Us". Piano player Daphne Tilse, Organist Pauline Gibb and Drummer George Rogers. Together they became a musical institution. Their definitive style the soundtrack to Alpha, spanning generations and bringing absolute joy to one and all at the town hall on a Saturday night. Let's carry on that tradition of great music, great food and good times.
